Father. Husband. Brother. Friend. Runner. Tomato Farmer. Jayhawk Fan.

Jeff passed away unexpectedly the day after Christmas in December 2019 and is missed dearly by all who knew him. Always quick with a "dad joke" and an ability to fix just about anything himself (for better or worse), he taught us to work hard, care about the people around you, and try to make the world a better place.

60 Miles for his 60th Birthday

After running 50 miles for his 50th birthday, it should have came as no surprise that for his 60th birthday, Jeff wanted to take on a similar birthday celebration.

He was interviewed by KWCH on his birthday in 2015. Like he says in the recording, his hope is that his story can inspire others to exercise.

He never made it to taking on 70 miles for his 70th birthday, but we are proud to carry on his legacy through Smile on the Mile each September.
